Interview with Melinda Martin, Director of Operations at ASIPP

Interview with Melinda Martin, Director of Operations at ASIPP

We proudly welcomed the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians back at our Eastern Education Center. Melinda Martin, Director of Operations at ASIPP, expressed her thoughts on our event planning process and the services she deemed most valuable to ASIPP's cadaver labs.

Q: Can you provide a brief introduction of yourself and your role at ASIPP?

Melinda: My name is Melinda Martin and I am the Director of Operations at ASIPP. We are a society for interventional pain physicians, and we do hands-on cadaver workshops in different various places around the country.

Q: How long have you been hosting your events with ASIPP at Viticus Group?

Melinda: We have been coming to Viticus Group for probably 10 years. Several of those years, we would come here once or twice a year and we do go to other places, but this has been a regular for us in our rotation.

Watch ASIPP at Viticus Group now.

Q: What specific features or services of our venue do you find most valuable?

Melinda: Appearance. We really love the facility like the feel and look. It's very light and airy and sometimes when you're in the lab for extended hours, it feels kind of cavernous. So you can walk out of the lab, it’s bright, and sunlight, and just really great staff. Very accommodating.

Q: Can you share how your experience has been working at our venue for your events?

Melinda: Yes, what's really great about Viticus Group is the pre-meeting, pre-lab lead up. The staff is really helpful in pre-planning. By the time we get here, we've gone over everything, and it really is a seamless process. However, they also are very good at accommodating last-minute changes which always happens with every group.

Q: H
ow would you describe the level of support and communication you received from our team?

Melinda: It's high caliber. I get early correspondence to remind me to get going, start moving, and just making decisions with no pressure. As we get closer, communication and the assistance increases. I've worked with other groups and sometimes, there just isn't the support. With Viticus Group, I feel like we're not going to be let down. Everything is going to be just the way we need it.
